12 days old

This was our 3rd attempt to get some pics of her. She didn't cooperate at all the second time. This time she only gave us about 30 minutes or so. That was with us whispering and barelly moving her cause she would just wake up. I wish we could have gotten a couple more poses but I was still extremely happy with what we got. Especially to not have to pay for them. :-)

Welcome Ashlynn Arianna McDaniel

Ashlynn was born @ 10:57 A.M. on 4/13/11. She was 6lbs and 6oz and 19 1/4 inches. She came after a very long labor and a very long day!! We went into the hospital @ 9 am on Tuesday the 12th. They put some medicine in me to induce labor. It is a very slow working medicine. I didn't start having contractions until around 2 pm. They were very consistant about every 2 to 3 min. We did that until 9pm when then took the medicine back out. They had to wait one hour before putting me on pitocin. During that time I was dilated to a 4 so they went ahead and gave me an epidural. I asked for one because my back was killing me and I knew once the pitocin kicked in I was going to be hurting pretty bad! So by the time they gave me that I was nice and numb! So I continued to labor through the night. Up until about 4am when the doctor came in and broke my water. I was not dilating extremely fast like I thought I would. I think I was at a 5 or 6 when they broke my water. I was really getting tired by now. I had been up for 24 hours at this point. It was really hard to sleep that night cause the nurses would come in every 30 min. Finally by 6am I was now a 7. My mom had gone home to my house to sleep. So I decided at that time to call her and have her come back in so she wouldn't miss anything. I thought I would go pretty fast after that. Well I was way wrong. Her head would not come down any lower and I stopped dilating. Ashlynn's heart rate started to drop during my contractions so now I was starting to get scared. They were checking me often but nothing was changing. They started making me change positions often to try and get her head down and also to try and get her heart rate back up. At this point I was thinking I was going to have a c-section. I was really scared!! The lady told me the doctor was on her way in to make a decision of what we needed to do. She came in at 10 and checked me and I was an 8 or a 9. I was so shocked and excited to finally be dilating again. She pushed on Ashlynn's head a little to try and get it to turn a little so it would come down. I was also feeling a lot of pain at this point so they came in and pumped me up with more epidural. By 10:45 I was fully dilated and Ashlynn was born 12 minutes later. I pushed 4 times and she was out. It was sooooo nice to finally have her out and to not have had a c-section. I felt sooooo blessed that I didn't have to go through that. I was purely exhausted and I honestly don't know how I was able to push her out. She has been such a joy to have. The kids are doing so well with her! They both love her to pieces. Sean and I kind of like her too....LOL!! :-) Here are some pics Sean took of Ashlynn at 3 days old. He did a great job!! I was really happy with them.

9 more days....REALLY??

Wow it is really really hard to believe we are getting as close as we are. A week from tomorrow night I will be in the hospital about to have this baby. We will not be getting induced until the next day. My emotions are just crazy right now thinking about it. So happy to finally be meeting her and finally getting her out of my belly. I just still can't believe I am about to be a mother of 3. I am about to have another child to love and care for. The kids are soooo excited for her to be here as well. You can tell they are having a little bit of a hard time with the change that is coming but they are very excited! We have been soooo busy lately with soccer. Finally next week things get to calm down a little. It is spring break. Bre doesn't have practice until Friday. Cam is supposed to have it tomorrow but not sure he will make it. We are supposed to go to Spokane for the day with Jill and the kids. It should be lots of fun. Cam is starting to get sick so I am hoping he stays healthy enough to go. I am looking forward to having a calm week with the kids before the craziness comes the following week.

19 days and counting

Ok I went to the doctor yesterday. As long as the hospital is not full I am for sure going in on the 12th for induction. That is 19 days away. Wowee time has really flown by. Although these last few weeks are getting harder and harder to get through. I still know when I am sitting in the hospital about to have this baby, I am going to look back in shock at how fast this whole thing went. I am glad I blogged often enough especially about the hard times in the pregnancy. I actually got through all of them and will finally have my 3rd child in my arms soon. My little miracle!! I can't believe it took me 4 times of getting pregnant to have her. Now when I look back it was all worth it. I can't wait for have our 5th and final addition to our family here with us. The kids are getting really excited. I can see Breanne is probably going to have a hard time at first not being the youngest anymore but I think she will be ok. I am worried about her but that is just my mommy instinct kicking in. My guilt of taking the youngest child thing away from her. I know she will love her sister a lot. I am not sure how Cam is going to handle it. I don't think he will get jealous at all. I am hoping he will love on her a lot! Not sure if he will or not. It should be quite interesting to watch. He can't wait to meet her though and I can't wait for them to meet her either. I want to see her little face. I can't wait to find out if she has lots of hair or hardly any. I have had both situations with my kids. I can't wait to see what color hair she has. I am just soooo looking forward to finally meeting this little girl and finally kissing and hugging her. 19 more days!! :-)

40 DAYS!!!

So I actually have 44 days until my due date. I will be 34 weeks on Monday. My doctor and I talked almost 2 weeks ago about her inducing me a little early. The reason you ask? Her sister has cancer and my doc travels out of state to help her out A LOT!! The week that I am due isn't a good week for her. To be sure she gets to be the one to deliver my baby she wants to induce me. This still is not in stone at all but the plan is to induce 4 days early which would be April 14th. I will know more next Wednesday after my appt with her again. We are soooo excited to possibly be meeting her a little early. I will keep you updated when I know more. As for now here are a couple of pics that Sean took. Yes, I finally got some photos of my belly. I didn't want it to end up being to late before we got at least one. So here is baby Ashlynn @ 33 weeks and 5 days.

Cool pics

So I found a lady on Etsy.com that lives in Huntington Beach, CA and takes these pics for you for a reasonable price. I decided to get the kids names with birthdates and Sean and I with our wedding anniversary. I Love them. I am going to frame them and hang the kids names in their rooms and then hang ours either in our bathroom, bedroom, or living room above a picture of Sean and I. I haven't quite decided yet. I really like them though. So I had to share.

Sickness is everywhere!!

I can't believe how much this family has been sick in the last month. So far Breanne has been the worst with being sick with three different things in the last month. It has just been so crazy around here. Just when I think I get someone healthy another one gets it. Finally I have gotten the nasty cold that is going around. It has not been fun. I have been up coughing for the past 5 nights. I really just want it to go away. Breanne came down with an extremely HIGH fever on Sunday night. She got all the way up to 105.2. I could barelly keep it down under 103. It would rise back up before the medicine would wear off. We took her in to the doctor yesterday and it turns out she has a sinus infection. She had just had this cold that I have about a week before this so that explains it. I was happy to find out that it was treatable than if it was a viral thing where no medicine would make her better. Man was she really sick! She has only had 1 dose of antibiotics and her fever is already down to 99.8 this morning with no meds. So that is great news. I think she will be able to go back to school tomorrow. Now I just need to get over this cold and hopefully we will all stay healthy. I don't want everyone all sick when Ashlynn comes. I want to be able to keep her healthy as well. Let's hope for the best! :-) I am looking forward to the next weekend and getting out of the house for awhile. I am so tired of being here!
