Sidewalk chalk & Popsicles

So not much new going on. We have been playing at the pool a lot. Enjoying summer so much more than we normally would. I LOVE it out here!! I am sure I said that a few times by now. The kids like it too. I can't wait until the kids meet some new friends. Sean took next week off for vacation. I am really excited. We haven't had a vacation together as a family in a couple of years. Sean has changed jobs so often the last several years that we haven't been able to take much time off. I am sooooo happy!! We are planning on going to Silverwood Theme Park for 2 days. The kids don't know about it. I think I might just keep it that way and surprise them. We haven't even told them that we are going anywhere. I think I might keep that from them too. I think we will just load up the car and start driving. It would be cool to pull in the parking lot and just say this is what we are doing today. :-) I am happy to spend some quality time with the fam!! Other than that not a lot going on. The kids start school in 5 weeks. I can't believe that summer has flown by so fast. I am not ready for summer to end yet. I am really enjoying spending time with the kids at the pool. They are learning soooo much in the short amount of time they have been swimming. I am really proud of them. Well here is a few pics from today. The kids and I went outside and wrote with the chalk. The first picture is a message I left for Sean to see when he gets home from work.

Graham crackers, marshmellows, & chocolate......OH MY!!!

My mom came down this weekend again. She has been wanting to go swimming but the last time she came here the weather didn't cooperate. This time it did thank goodness! :-) We went swimming on Saturday with everyone. Of course we all had fun. The kids are sure surprising me. They are totally learning how to swim. I mean they aren't close to being able to go in the deep end or anything but they have really came a long way in the short time that we have been here. I am really proud of both of them. Saturday night after dinner we had a fire outback and made smores. That was fun. It was hot outside so it melted the chocolate before we put the marshmellow on the graham cracker. Sean and my mom said they were the best smores they have ever had. I think it was because of how melted the chocolate was. It was like dripping off the cracker. Of course I am not big on chocolate so I just ate roasted marshmellows which was yummy to me. We had a great weekend!! I am bummed it is over already. Sean will be taking some vacation time soon. I am really looking forward to that.

Summer Time!!!!!

Saturday we went to the pool with Daddy. We had a lot of fun. It was windy that day so it made it a little on the colder side that day. It was still in the 90's but with the wind we were chilly at times. A fire started that day in Wenatchee and brought a huge cloud over the pool towards the end of the day. That made it even colder...lol. It was crazy the sun went behind the smoke cloud and it made the sun turn red. It was really cool looking. Yesterday we went up to Wenatchee for the day. That is where costco is and things like that. So pretty much any of our shopping we have to do there other than walmart. So we went up there cause Sean still didn't have any shorts and it is hot here. So we spent the day shopping together. It was fun. The kids weren't as excited about it but they got to spend their allowance money so that made them happy. The 3rd to the last picture I took last night after we got home. You can see the smoke that is coming our way from that fire in Wenatchee. It is still burning today and tonight we are supposed to have some pretty severe winds so I am sure that isn't going to help it any. The last two pics were from the sunrise this morning. Every morning I wake up and see orange or red on the walls in my bedroom. I am to lazy to get up and take a picture of it. So today when I woke up I decided to finally get up and do it. Finally I got some cool pics of it. I am planning on cleaning and unpacking some more the next couple of days. We have spent the last several days doing things so nothing has gotten done around here. I am hoping to make it back to the pool Wednesday or Thursday. I am sure I will have lots more pics to come. I hope everyone else is having a great summer like we are!! 8-)

We are officially moved!!!

We have officially lived here for a week now. Things are going really well. My mom came over Saturday and stayed until Monday the 5th of July. She helped us sooooo much with the house. We got a TON of stuff done just in the time that she was here. The 4th of July was a little different for us this year. We didn't do anything real fun just due to moving and stuff. We were planning on just hanging out and hopefully watching everyone elses fireworks. It ended up getting really windy that day. It was blowing up to 40 mph. So there wasn't much fireworks that day. So we ended up in bed early cause we were soooo tired from working so much. Since Wednesday it has been in the 90's and possibly going to be 100 degrees today. We spent yesterday in the pool all day. The day before the kids got to go out on Uncle Josh and Aunt Jill's boat. They got pulled on the intertube and had a ton of fun. Cameron liked it better than Breanne. She was a little scared of falling off. She still had fun and I hope she will try it again. We are loving it here and I am just so happy we got this opportunity to live here. I really think this is where I want to be!! I think the kids are enjoying it as well. I know that they miss their friends but as soon as school starts and they meet new ones I think that will get easier.
