Weekend away

We went over to my brother-in-law & sister-in-law's house this weekend. They live over in Eastern WA. Josh had a coupon to go skiing over at Stephen's pass so he asked Sean to go with him. Sean was pumped since he hasn't been in at least 14 years. So while they were gone all day Jill and I had a great day together hanging out with the kids. We went to the park and walked a little while we were there. Then we just hung out with them while they played. The rest of the day we just hung out around the house together while the kids played. Honestly it was really nice for the kids to have some time with their cousins and for me to have some girly time with Jill. It was well needed. I know it was also nice for Sean to get some guy time with his brother all while doing something he loves! Sunday the guys took the kids shooting while Jill and I went for coffee and she drove me to see her work. It was nice to get some time without the kids. We drove around a little looking at the area. Cameron got to shoot a gun for the first time ever. He loved it. Breanne wanted to but said she didn't want to wear the earplugs. Sean got to shoot some too which he also hasn't done in awhile. Since Josh has all that stuff I wanted him to show the kids what happens when you shoot a gun. How bad it can effect something. Josh took a milk jug and filled it with water and food coloring. That way when it got shot it would explode so he could see the real deal. I want to teach him gun safety early so he knows not to ever play with them. I hope it helped a little. After all that we had lunch and had to head back home. I hate that the weekend goes by so quickly. It was such a nice visit. I would have loved to have one more day there. We had a great drive home. It was an absolutely beautiful day. You could see the mountains and all the snow on them. It was really pretty. I took some pics that I will post on here. The kids are really exhausted from the weekend so hopefully they can catch up on their sleep. It was worth it though. I will post pics of them shooting later. Here are some from the rest of the weekend.

Driving around

Sean had a 3 day weekend this weekend. The kids actually had a 4 day weekend. We had some running around to do on Monday so we decided before we did that to go for a little drive. Sean has heard from some people he works with about the area. There is a place called Boston Harbor that we thought would be cool but it really wasn't. So it was sort of a waste of a drive but we ended up at this park on the way back that was pretty cool. It was really muddy by the water but it was pretty. We could see the capital and stuff. The one cool thing I did see in Boston Harbor was this house. It looks just like a boat. I thought it was sooooo cool so of course I had to take a picture of it.

Cam got rollerblades

As a family we have been going to the skating rink a lot! We all enjoy it and it is pretty cheap to do. Breanne got rollerblades for her birthday. With our tax money Sean and I were also getting some rollerblades for us. Cameron refused to get them. He kept saying I will do it when I get older. I don't know why but I guess being older would make it easier in his mind. Well after seeing Breanne have them and do so well, and also seeing mommy and daddy buying them, he decided he wanted a pair. We told them that it was only fair if they were an early b-day present since that is what Breanne got. He was ok with that so we went ahead and bought him some. Of course he LOVES them and hasn't fallen once yet. He said he is actually doing better in them. I am proud of him for trying them out finally. :-)

Cameron's V-day party at school

Cam's class had a v-day party on Thursday. There was a lady in there taking pics for the yearbook, so she had the class get together for a class pic. So I was able to get a couple also. This is his class with his teacher in the back. They were all high on sugar...lol. They had fun!

Skate night

The kids got to go to their first skate night through the school. They were so excited to go and see their friends. They were sooooo bummed when none of them showed up. It didn't seem to bother Breanne near as much as Cam. I was bummed for him. He seemed to still enjoy his time but he really wanted to be with his friends. I was telling Sean that next time we should just invite their friends to come with us so that they will be there.

Breanne doing jumps in her new rollerblades. This is only her second time skating with them. She loves them!! It was a birthday present that she got to open a little early so she could use them.

Breanne is 7!!

Today is my little girl's 7th birthday. I cannot believe how fast time has flown. Breanne is such a sweet little girl with a big heart. She is so loving with hugs and kisses to give to everyone. She sure has made our life so much happier. I can't wait to continue to watch her grow up into a beautiful young lady. We love you soooo much sissy!
This year is Cam's turn for a party so we told Breanne she could have 1 friend over to stay the night. So this Saturday her friend is coming over. They get to go skating together and then we are going to come home and play. She is so excited to have her very first sleepover. It should be fun! Here are some pictures to celebrate her life this far. She is soooo pretty! :-) Happy Birthday Breanne!

Breanne's tooth

Last night Cameron and Breanne were wrestling around and somehow Breanne busted her adult tooth on Cam's head. They must have been playing extremely rough for that to happen. I am so bummed since it is her adult tooth. Luckily the nerve isn't sticking out or anything so there is no pain. The way she was screaming last night after it happened I thought for sure it was. Here are a few pics. It is the bottom front tooth on the right. This should be a nice Dentist bill!! :-)
